How Integrations Work

When you connect a data source, RAG Chats automatically:

1. Fetches content — Downloads or accesses your documents
2. Processes text — Extracts and cleans the content
3. Chunks documents — Splits into optimal-sized pieces
4. Creates embeddings — Converts text to vector representations
5. Indexes for search — Stores in the vector database

For connected apps like Notion and Google Drive, content is automatically synced on a schedule to keep your bot up to date.

• Content type: Use PDFs for static documents, web crawling for help centers, apps for collaborative content
• Update frequency: Connected apps sync automatically; uploaded files need manual updates
