Configure Settings

  • Include subfolders: Sync nested folder contents
  • File filters: Include only specific file types

Start Sync

Click Connect to begin syncing. Initial sync time depends on the amount of content.

Dropbox Paper

Dropbox Paper documents are fully supported. All text content, headings, lists, and tables are extracted and indexed.

Paper Best Practices

Organize Paper docs in folders alongside regular files. They'll be synced together automatically.

Dropbox Business

For Dropbox Business accounts:

  • Connect using your business credentials
  • Access team folders you have permission to view
  • Sync shared folders from team members

Sync Behavior

  • New files: Automatically added on next sync
  • Updated files: Re-processed when content changes
  • Deleted files: Removed from knowledge base
  • Moved files: Updated if still in synced folder

Best Practices

  • Organize in dedicated folders: Keep knowledge base content separate from other files
  • Use descriptive names: File names become searchable
  • Archive old content: Move outdated files out of synced folders

Troubleshooting

Connection fails

  • Check Dropbox credentials are correct
  • Ensure browser allows popups
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Files missing

  • Verify files are in selected folders
  • Check file types are supported
  • Wait for sync to complete

Removing the Integration

  1. Delete the Dropbox data source in RAG Chats
  2. Optionally, revoke access in Dropbox settings under Connected apps
